She starred as Dinah in the German production of Starlight Express, toured Europe as Anybodys in West Side Story, choreographed the Off Broadway premiere of Actors Shakespeare’s original musical Moliere’s Shorts, and was an assistant choreographer for the Disney channel’s New Mickey Mouse Club.

Her work with young audiences includes performances and choreography for Heart of the Matter Productions, a program designed for schools to inform children about good touch/bad touch. Darlene choreographed Cricket in Times Square and Hope for the Flowers, children's books that were adapted into musicals productions by Xan Johnson.

Darlene taught musical theatre workshops for the Youth Theatre Conservatory and has served as an adjunct instructor in the dance department at Weber State University. In 2005, Darlene choreographed the University of Utah's opera production of Street Scene and the Greek Show, Iphigenia at Aulis.

Paul, co-owner of Imagination Place, and his wife Darlene, found Music Together® so charming that they are pleased to offer this amazing program to SLC for the first time. Paul has a B.F.A. in Acting from the U of U. He studied with the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco, the British American Drama Academy in Oxford, and Shakespeare & Co. in Lenox, Mass. He is a member of Screen Actors Guild, Actors Equity Association and The American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. He performed Off Broadway, played Andy Ross on All My Children, and is continually working on TV and Radio. His Children’s Theatre experience includes work with the Touch Program touring through the elementary schools. He performed in The Cricket in Times Square and Charlotte's Web, both at Pioneer Theatre Company theatre, for young audiences. Recently Paul taught the Master Acting Class for the Theatre Youth Conservatory. He completed his teacher training with the Center For Music and Young Children in January 1999.

Dawn is a certified level one Music Together® teacher, having completed her training with the Center for Music and Young Children. She holds a B.F.A. in Modern Dance with a minor in theater from the University of Utah. Dawn has performed professionally in plays and musicals, including productions for Sundance Children’s Theater. Currently, she performs with Wasatch Dance Collective and Samba Gringa, a Brazilian percussion band. She has taught dance at the Montesorri school for several years and is excited to teach children the joy of music through Music Together®.

Lori Miller is passionate about music, singing, and dancing and loves to be silly and have fun. For her, Music Together a perfect fit!

Lori was first introduced to Music Together in San Francisco where she attended classes with her two children. She moved to Salt Lake City in 2008 and soon became a registered Music Together® teacher and joined the Salt Lake City Music Together family.

Lori grew up in a musical family has been involved in music and dance since she was very young. “Music is in my soul and part of my every day life,” she says. “I believe it is such a gift to expose children at an early age so they can reach their full potential musically if they choose to do so. At home, hardly a day goes by without my kids and I inserting silly lyrics into a song and dancing around the house.”

Lori received her B.A. in Communications from San Francisco State University. She is an ISTD certified Ballroom, Latin and Swing dance instructor with over 10 years experience teaching dance to both children and adults. She has performed in numerous musicals, bands, and dance shows. In addition to teaching with Music Together, she currently teaches music, movement and dance in preschool and elementary school in Salt Lake City.

Before his studies at the University of Utah and working at Imagination Place, Jordan studied drumset for 8 years and taught privately for 4 years. While in high school he organized the school’s first drumline, and was subsequently hired as director of the Carbon High School Drumline and percussion ensemble for 2.5 years upon his graduation.  He has played in the College of Eastern Utah Wind Symphony and Jazz Band, as well as in state honor bands, community orchestras, and “garage” bands.  

Now living in Salt Lake City, he is studying at the University of Utah with a major in Entrepreneurship and minor in Percussion Performance.  He currently plays with the University of Utah Percussion Ensemble, University Symphony, and studies privately under the direction of Doug Wolf.

Scott Foust has been playing the piano since the age of 4, and teaching piano privately since 2004.  He has earned a reputation for excellence in piano pedagogy while instilling his students with a love and appreciation for the joy of music.  He completed a year-long pedagogy internship at the University of Utah School of Music, Piano Preparatory Division, and is working towards a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance, studying for 4 years under Dr. Heather Conner.  He has been working for Imagination Place as a piano instructor since 2005 and is an active member of the Salt Lake Chapter of the Utah Music Teacher's Association.

Scott has participated in marching band, jazz band, percussion ensemble, and choir while in school and currently enjoys performing as a baritone in the University of Utah A Cappella Choir under the direction of Dr. Brady Allred.
